Becker Design Studio conceptualized, illustrated and designed a follow-up or 2nd version of an ad for Ocular Therapeutix Inc.’s product, ReSure Sealant, tying number 3 for that month’s issue. The report which announced the month’s advertising pieces, contains the results of an AdProbe™ Study, conducted by SIGNET RESEARCH, INC. using ads from the January 2017 issue of OPHTHALMOLOGY MANAGEMENT.
Ocular Therapeutix’s product is ReSure Sealant, a hydrogel that is used following ocular surgery that seals the surgery area to prevent leaks. Two years ago Becker Design Studio created a unique ad that featured a fish in a fishbowl that had a crack which was leaking a few drops of water. That year (2015) the ad was distinguished by earning the top rank in advertising pieces. In 2016 we decided to create a follow-up ad with the same concept but showing it with a more significant message. We presented the idea of the fishbowl having less water with a significant amount of water on the table top.
This year, the ad was ranked by the AdProbe Study at the end of January 2017. Our ad’s rank tied at 3rd place. Additional statistics of its success are shown from the report.
Additional marketing materials again were created by re-purposing the ad as well as making their ReSure Sealant website feature the design. This ad continues the great success from the original and we look forward to future opportunities to brainstorm more intriguing concepts and designs.
