CHALLENGE: Ocular Therapeutix was looking for some unique ideas for a design to advertise their new product, ReSure. A previous ad concept was not delivering the kind of notice and reaction that they needed for their product.
SOLUTION: Ocular Therapeutix knew that Becker Design Studio was the right place to go for what they needed, an ad concept and final design that would be memorable and make sense for their audience. As we discussed the projects needs and goals, we threw around some ideas and a fish in a fishbowl just seemed to be the best solution and the client loved it. They loved it even more when they got to review all of the visual concepts. We were a bit timid with the bold statement of the wide-eyed fish but we had to pitch it. A more subdued fish and this wide-eyed fish were presented as options and thankfully, this was the winner. It’s a great statement for a situation that ocular surgeons face all the time and gets the attention among the other lackluster ads in their periodicals. It’s great working for clients who enjoy the process and aren’t afraid to make bold statements to get noticed.
UPDATE: This ad and its follow-up ad have received recognition for their success:

- Ad for Ocular Therapeutix, Inc. Ties #3 in Signet ADPROBE – January 2017
